You know those rainy days when you’re stuck at home in one of those moods and you’re absolutely bored out of your mind? I’ve definitely had that happen a lot. You know what’s a great idea for that though?
Make a Rainy Day Bucket
Supplies:
- Index cards
- Markers
- Tape
- Scissors
- A big bowl
What to do:
- Get the supplies and settle down at the table.
- Think, think, think.
- Be creative!
- Take an index card and write, “Rainy Day Bucket”, on it.
- Tape the index card to the bowl.
- Take some more index cards (you’ll want enough to fill the bucket) and cut them into small strips big enough to write on.
- The next thing you’ll want to do is make up a list of ideas for what you can do when it is rainy. (Such as board games, movie-time, baking, etc.)
- Take the strips and write an idea on each one.
- Put the strips in the bowl and mix them around.
- Whenever you have any ideas on what to do on a rainy day then just write them on a strip of paper and put it in the bucket.
- You should have markers and strips of paper always near the rainy day bucket in case you want to add to it.
- Whenever it is a rainy day and you are absolutely bored out of your mind then take 2 strips out of the rainy day bucket and read them. Choose between the 2 and put the other one back.
Have fun with your rainy day bucket! I hope your rainy days will be a lot more fun! 🙂

P.S.
- You can make a pouch that you can attach to the bowl by just using 2 index cards, markers and tape.
- Take the two index cards and tape them together width-wise.
- Using the markers draw something like clouds and rain drops on the index card and, using tape, secure it to the rainy day bucket.
I hope you have a great time with your Rainy Day Bucket!!!!

I posted that when it was actually raining and it was not snowing at all and it was warm out, I figured that we wouldn’t get snow, now it is snowing and it is cold out. 😀 Oops! My bad! 🙂
